Proposed Projects

At their sixth and final meeting, the Local Planning Committee (LPC) unanimously recommended a slate of projects for NY Forward funding consideration by New York State. The slate includes six private or non-profit projects, two public projects, and a small project fund. Projects on the slate are requesting $6.7 million in NY Forward funding, within the $6-8 million range required by the State. State agencies will select projects from this list for the Village’s $4.5 million award. Not all projects will be selected for funding. Announcements will be made in the first half of 2026.


  • Eligible applicants are those sponsored by a public, non-profit or private entity with legal authority to undertake the project

    • Public Improvement Projects

    • New Development/Rehabilitation of Downtown Buildings

    • Façade enhancements or small scale building renovations

    • Branding and Marketing for downtown

  • NYF Projects must:

    • Be located within the NY Forward Boundary

    • Be able to break ground within two years of receiving funding

    • Have financing largely in place

    • Must have site control or be in the process of obtaining site control

  • The consultant team will be available to discuss questions potential project sponsors may have. Drop-in office hours will be held in the Village once the Open Call for Projects is released. Contact information will also be included in the Open Call form.
